Quad Bike excursion and visit to a local village

We pick you up at your hotel. Starting from Kiwengwa (Kairo), you drive on the main road towards Pwani Majangani, for about 4 km. The excursion usually stops for a few minutes at a local store where you can buy food to offer to the village (flour, rice, biscuits for the children). Guests are encouraged to support the local community. After this small stop, you leave the asphalt road to drive the quad off-road through the rice fields, where your guide stops for about 15 minutes to explain the economy, culture and habits of the villages in the central part of the island.

After this explanation, the excursion continues through the environment of the island to arrive at the local village. At the village you stop for about 1 hour. Travelers will have the opportunity to stay with the children, play with them, and connect with the village community. After this first contact, your guide will offer travelers local fresh fruit (Madafu, fresh seasonal fruit).

The excursion will then continue to Mad’s House, a typical house in the rural village, while your guide will discuss the life and culture of the Zanzibarian people. Before getting back on the quad, the guests will visit plantations of cinnamon, cloves, lemongrass and other varieties, which are cultivated by the inhabitants of the village. You finally leave the village by driving towards Pwani Majangani to reach the fishing village. At the village, you will stop for a few minutes to explain the difference between the rural village and the community based on the coast of the island. Following the sand road, passing the fishermen’s houses, you will arrive at the Waikiki Resort, where you will stop for about 15 minutes. In Waikiki, you can enjoy a Focaccia (typical Italian white pizza). You can rest at the beach, relax and take a dip in the ocean, before getting back in the quad and ending the excursion by returning to the main area. You will be dropped off at your hotel.
