Depart from the hotel at 5am and fly to Mikumi National Park at 7am. Upon arrival at Mikumi airstrip at 8:10am, you will be met by the driver guide who will brief you on your Mikumi safari.
After a short briefing, you will depart on a game drive in a modified 4WD vehicle into Mikumi National Park, spotting the game in the surrounding area from your seat in an open vehicle, a comfortable and privileged journey through the wild African bush. You can expect to see all the big African mammals including elephants, giraffes, lions, buffalo, zebras and leopards.
Picnic lunch will be provided mid-day where your guide will choose a spot with shade and water nearby to watch the animals come to drink – a spot with a clear view all around so that no predators can sneak up hidden.
In the late afternoon you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight at 1600hrs to Zanzibar, arriving at 1510hrs.
